Orthodontics
Just like people, pets can experience problems with the way their teeth fit together. This alignment—called occlusion—is the relationship between the upper (maxilla) and lower (mandible) teeth when the mouth is closed. A healthy occlusion allows your pet to chew comfortably, avoid injuries in the mouth, and maintain good oral health.
When the bite doesn’t line up properly, it’s called a malocclusion. For dogs and cats, malocclusions can be painful, especially if teeth are poking into the gums, palate, or lips. These problems often appear in puppies and kittens at a young age, but they can also affect adult pets.

Why Early Treatment Helps
For puppies and kittens, early intervention is especially important. Addressing malocclusions between 8-12 weeks of age can sometimes prevent a malocclusion with adult teeth. Addressing malocclusions before full eruption of adult teeth is also beneficial to prevent serious pain and long-term complications. Additionally, treatment in adult pets can provide relief, improve function, and significantly enhance quality of life.
Why Malocclusions Matter
A bite that doesn’t fit properly isn’t just cosmetic—it can cause:
Left untreated, malocclusions may worsen as adult teeth erupt, leading to long-term discomfort and more complicated dental problems.

Every treatment plan is carefully crafted with one goal in mind: to provide your pet with a pain-free, functional bite as quickly and safely as possible. Whether your pet is a playful puppy, a curious kitten, or a beloved adult companion, restoring their comfort and health is always our top priority.
